hen Steve first set eyes on his future love dog, Sven had just been thrown from a moving car. When Steve rescued him, Sven was aggressive and he lacked trust in humans. Due to his unpredictable temperament, many veterinarians recommended that Sven be "put down". Steve saw the good in Sven and he was determined to bring it out.

Needless to say, Steve did not "put down" Sven. With Steve's love and guidance, Sven not only grew into a happy, healthy adult dog... he became a well trained and well loved celebrity. He is featured in numerous television shows and books. Some of Sven's talents include playing the piano and guitar, turning on and off appliances, bringing Steve beverages from the refrigerator, and saying "I love you."

Steve's dedication to training Sven has led to his commitment to training all dogs, from rambunctious puppies to dogs with serious problems.

After a long and productive life, Sven sadly passed away in January of 2005. His work and spirit lives on through his many television, film and musical recordings. Please read more about Sven's Story
