teve Brooks’ philosophy of “dog training for the real world” holds that every dog should know real life manners, dog training should be a part of everyday life, and most of all, it should be fun.
We use reward-based training. There is no yelling, jerking or aggressive handling. Our training techniques are fun and creative.
Better communication forges a better relationship between you and your dog and it's that relationship that ensures your dog's good behavior. Your dog should listen to you because he wants to, not because he has to. You'll learn how to read your dog's body language and use your own to communicate with him. We’ll teach you how to become the right kind of role model for your dog, and how to prevent behavioral problems before they occur. You'll influence your dog's behavior instead of the other way around.
“Like people, all dogs are different,” Steve says. “They all have histories that have influenced their behavior. We will customize a training program that is right for you and your dog.”
Whether your dog needs basic obedience training or help with aggressive or destructive behavior, Steve and the staff of K9U will teach you how to make training a part of you and your dog's everyday life.
It starts with a concept Steve calls Management. Steve and the staff of Steve Brooks K9U will teach you how to manage your dog's activities so that while training is underway, your dog doesn’t have the chance to practice the bad behavior you’re trying to correct.
Management lays the foundation for Steve's 4 Commandments. Steve guarantees that after even one lesson, you will communicate with and understand your dog better, and that your overall relationship with your dog will improve.
