As a Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT-KA), a credential granted by the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers (CCPDT), Steve Brooks completed rigorous tests on humane training practices using the latest scientific knowledge related to dog training. He offers workshops and seminars and attends conferences across the United States and is also a Professional member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT) and the Southern California Dog Trainers Forum (SCDTF). In 2005, Steve was one of the first non-veterinarian experts CPDT/KA invited to attend the Post-Graduate Institute for Applied Clinical Behavioral Medicine at the North American Veterinary Conference, headed by Dr. Karen Overall. Steve is also a licensed presenter of Family Paws Parent Education , Dog & Baby Connection , Dog & Storks and is a proud member of Pet Professional Guild where he promotes force free training. Steve is also a contributing writer to Fido Friendly Magazine.

Steve Brooks was born in Hollywood, California and lives with his wife, Yasmine, and their dog Uni in the Cathedral City / Palm Springs area.
